On 24 May 2013, Commander Evelyn Leong was called home to be with The Lord. While we are saddened by her passing, we remember her life and impact upon the lives of kids and youths in the Royal Rangers ministry.

Commander Evelyn served in Royal Rangers for many years with excellence and dedication. She was an active Expedition Rangers Commander at Outpost #12 – Eternal Life Assembly Of God, where her leadership and mentorship touched the lives of both youths and leaders. As a Regional Staff in the National Youth Leadership Academy, she availed her strong and gifted administrative skills to impact the lives of many more youths and leaders in Singapore. She contributed significantly to the growth of the Royal Rangers ministry. Alway dependable, she made running the camps and activities a breeze for the team. Even though it was not within her portfolio, Commander Evelyn was always ready to step-up to assist and serve the National Royal Rangers office when called upon.

Evelyn’s testimony of God’s provision, strength and perseverance will always touch those who knew her. In her own reflections of the recent health challenges, she said, “When I lock my focus on Christ, I know I can do all things through Him who strengthen me. I will continue to run the race; I will not give up the fight. Whatever race we are running in our lives, we can finish strong when we focus on Christ”. Through her own struggles with health, she remained a pillar of strength for many in the hospital, church, friends etc.. she even encouraged people to be enrolled as bone marrow donors.

We will remember Commander Evelyn for her faithfulness to our Master Ranger, her dedication to the ministry and her impact on the lives of youths and leaders. She served our Master Ranger, Jesus Christ with distinction. We are honored to have partnered her in ministry, privileged to have walked with her in fellowship and humbled to have shared her journey. May her significant life be a testimony and encouragement for us in our own walk with God and to serve Him faithfully.

Please continue to keep her family in prayer.
